Epic Work: Tom and Jerry

First of all, let`s look at some names of classical music.

Strangely, if you are not a big classical fan, you can`t recognize those names at all, but they all somehow sound familiar.

Yes, produced by MGM in 1940s, Tom and Jerry was definitely a unique masterpiece in the world cartoon history. Its lovely stories, exquisite artwork, and especially tons of classical symphonies which accurately coordinate with the charactors` movements, make it a legend.
你猜的没错，由米高梅公司在上世纪四十年代创作的猫和老鼠系列动画，绝对是世界动画史上独一无二的杰作。温馨的故事，细腻的作画，以及与角色动作精妙契合的古典交响乐，都将这部动画推上神坛。

80 years ago, Making just one episode of Tom and Jerry required 150 people to work at least ten month.

Despite the restriction of technology, the producers` devoted work are the reasons behind those Oscar Awards. No one will question the status of this legendary cartoon. And it is not surprising at all that Tom and Jerry will continue to educate and impress generations, and leave an irreplaceble mark in their life.
他们用工匠精神来突破当时科技上的限制。那些闪亮的奥斯卡小金人，真正的实至名归。没有人敢去质疑《猫和老鼠》在动画史上的地位。毫无疑问，这部杰作也将继续成为一代人又一代人的经典，在他们的童年留下不可替代的印记。

Lovely Picture Book: Spongebob Squarepants
美妙的绘本：《海绵宝宝》
Moving on, another cartoon that keeps inspiring kids and loved by people along the years is the Spongebob Squarepants. Being a lot younger than its older brother, it is also a phenomenal cartoon series but in a totally different style.
《海绵宝宝》则是另一部经久不衰依旧被人们所喜爱的动画。比《猫和老鼠》要年轻许多的它，拥有着截然不同的风格，但同样是可以被称为现象级的系列动画。

Spongebob Squarepants won`t boast its artwork, nor are all its music classic. But the vivid charactors together with its fabulous imagination, are where the reputation lies.
《海绵宝宝》并不以美工作为重点，它的配乐也并不是恢弘的古典交响。但令它闻名的一个重要原因，在于它令人惊奇的想象力以及它所塑造的性格鲜明的角色。

The title character, Spongebob, especially, is an optimistic and carefree boy who will never give up in any circumstances. That encourages not only the growing kids, but many grown-ups.
作为主角，海绵宝宝的乐观、自信、快乐、无忧无虑使他的形象极为丰满。他的性格也同样感染着很多成年人。

Still, Spongebob continue to use series of short but beautifully made stories to introduce us the life in the Bikini-Bottom.
《海绵宝宝》依旧用它篇幅短小却无比动人的小故事，继续向我们展示着比奇堡的生活。
If Tom and Jerry is a superb masterpiece that showed in the gallery, Spongebob will be more like a picture book designed for every age groups. No matter how old you have been, just play this lovely cartoon, you will laugh, just as you did when you were ten.
如果说《猫和老鼠》是陈列在画廊中精妙绝伦的艺术品，那《海绵宝宝》则是一本适合所有年龄段的绘本。无论年龄多大，只要打开《海绵宝宝》，你依旧会开怀大笑，像回到十岁那时一样。

The Paean of Heroes: The Legends of Seven Heroes
侠义赞歌：《虹猫蓝兔七侠传》
Martial heroes play an important role in Chinese culture. Kids, especially, would be crazy when it comes to fancy Kungfu skills.
武侠是中国文化中一个重要的组成部分。而对于孩子们来说，激烈的武斗和神奇的武技会让他们无比激动。

Jumping among the mountains,beating the villains, helping the needed, those are dreams of young kids for many generations. Consequently, The Legend of Seven Heroes immediately went viral amid kids on its debut in 2006. All of a sudden, nearly every kiddos started dreaming to have a sword in the cartoon.
飞檐走壁，劫富济贫，惩恶扬善，是一代又一代中国孩子们的幻想。因此，《虹猫蓝兔七侠传》的走红变得理所当然。2006年一推出，它便火遍中国动画界。长虹剑、冰魄剑、紫云剑……它们也成为了当时许多孩子们心中的神器。

Indeed, subtle artwork and Chinese martial heroes elements are what this cartoon series famous for. Yet they are not the donminating factors behind this vast trend. Actually The Legends of Seven Heroes gains its popularities mostly in virtue of the spirits.
的确，精致的画面和其中的武侠元素是这部动画成为爆款的一部分原因，但他们并不是这个“七侠潮”的决定性因素。《虹猫蓝兔七侠传》之所以闻名可能更是因为它的精神内核。

This is not just a story about good guys fighting with bad guys and finally win. Well the good guys do win in the end but it is not what this cartoon is all about. Every charactors have their own shortcomings and they are trying their best to overcome them.
这并不只是一个邪不压正的老套故事。虽然正义的确得到伸张，但《虹猫蓝兔七侠传》并不止于此。所有角色都有束缚住自己的执念或性格短板，但他们都在不断地去努力克服，突破自我。

Moreover, apart from standard friendship and love, it also involves herited duties, generation changes, to name but a few. And seriously, there is even espionage in a cartoon at that time!
此外，除了常规的友情和爱情，它还蕴含着使命和能力的传承，甚至更多。说真的，我们竟然还能从当时的儿童动画里看到卧底和间谍这样的戏码。
The three cartoons mentioned above are just the tip of the iceberg.

There are lot more names that remain clear in our memory.

They are still splendid examples for the whole cartoon industry.

长大了就会怀念那些没什么想法的干净的童年，连带着那些带给我们乐趣的动画，
People say antiques are classic because they have more than a plate to survive the time. And as for cartoons, they are able to go through the challenges of aging.
人们说古董之所以成为古董是因为他们蕴含着更多的价值，从而经受住了时间的考验。对于动画也是如此。经典是不会随着观众老去而老去的
"Gone are our childhood and cartoons, yet what they have taught us remains."
